Tis the summer to be giving! Over the past few months, I have had the honor of cutting several of my client's hair for the amazing non-profit organization - Locks of Love.

This morning I slapped at my alarm as it went off at 6 am, but I must say, it was nice to get in that extra hour of sleep. My sister and I had signed up again to run in Susan G. Komen's Race for the Cure in downtown Austin and were really excited to get there and support such an important cause. The weather was absolutely beatiful and the event, simply put, amazing.

Jennifer and I frantically ran around trying to straighten the house, get some laundry out of the way and pack for the weekend. It was our second opportunity to come out, meet some of you and launch our new website in Dallas at the Texas Beauty Show. We drove up Saturday afternoon after we finally completed all of our errands and chores. We had the pleasure of getting to stay with our Aunt and Uncle overnight before we had to be at the show early Sunday morning. 

October 5, my birthday, was our First Big Hair Show in Austin, TX. 

We packed up the car and headed downtown to the Austin Convention Center. We walked in, only to be overwhelmed and thrilled to see the grand size of the Armstrong McCall Hair Show and the amazing amount of vendors present. There were numerous large stages set up for the platform artist to educate and amaze us with this season’s latest trends. Everyone was astounding!
